Writing and research have allowed me to expand my intellectual horizons. I’ve presented at youth symposia, contributed to online publications, and won essay contests. These works reflect my curiosity about global issues and my commitment to making knowledge accessible to all.

    • Authored and presented an original research paper on the intersection of love and war, by analyzing forced and willing marriages within the context of ISIS war brides.

    • Delivered findings at an international symposium alongside delegates from top schools (e.g. Hwa Chong Institution in Singapore), engaging in rigorous policy debate and intense Q&A sessions.

    • Invested months of dedicated research and preparation to construct a nuanced, well-supported academic argument.

    • Engaged in extensive intellectual and cultural exchange with international peers, significantly broadening my global perspective and understanding of complex geopolitical issues.

    • Participated in immersive learning events, such as a poverty simulation programme at Crossroads Foundation, to ground theoretical knowledge in experiential understanding.

    • Selected to represent Diocesan Girls' School as a delegate on an exclusive educational tour organized by the Law Society of Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality.

    • Led a team in a legal research competition, presenting on synergizing Mainland China's civil law with Hong Kong's common law to advance the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

    • Gained firsthand legal insight through visits to key institutions like the Shenzhen International Arbitration Court and the Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People's Court.

    • Analyzed the innovation ecosystem through site visits to major firms like DJI and Meituan, connecting legal frameworks with technological and business development.

    • Engaged with legal professionals and students in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, building a cross-border network, and deepened understanding of the legal profession.

    • Selected as a researcher for this competitive international program, earning 2nd Runner-Up in the "Innovate & Educate" Student Research Competition.

    • Investigated the impact of music education on adolescent cognitive abilities, uncovering the significant role of arts and education in shaping cognitive health.

    • Developed a nuanced, interdisciplinary perspective on healthcare, analyzing its intricate connections to non-medical fields like arts education.

    • Honed essential research skills, including efficient data gathering, rigorous analysis of complex datasets, and synthesizing findings into a compelling presentation.

    • Awarded 1st and 2nd prizes (in different years) in this international competition for articles on animal conservation.

    • The competition featured diverse themes including Wildlife in the Oceans, Wildlife on the Land, Farm Animals, and Companion Animals.

    • Translated complex conservation-related ideas into compelling narratives for a global audience.

    • Advanced rigorous research and analytical skills through in-depth investigation of endangered species and ecosystem preservation.

    • Shortlisted Journalist & Certificate of Achievement Recipient in this competitive program, underscoring strong reporting and writing talent.

    • Additionally, I was selected to join the "Macau Unlocked: A Journey of Discovery for Students" study tour also organised by South China Morning Post (SCMP), and conducted on-site journalism at cultural landmarks like the Ruins of St. Paul's and the Macau Grand Prix Museum.

    • Developed skills in travel writing and feature storytelling for a public audience.

    • Awarded a Merit Award for an analytical essay proposing innovative strategies to enhance the traveler experience at Hong Kong International Airport.

    • This competition was organised by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong.

    • My article on pangolin conservation, originally awarded 1st Prize in an international writing competition, was selected for publication in the school's quinquennial magazine Quest.

    • Chosen for its excellence and relevance, the piece was featured in this publication documenting five years of school history, amplifying its reach and contributing a lasting work of environmental advocacy to the school's archival record.

    • Conducted a research project investigating both the biological mechanisms of Alzheimer's Disease and the critical systemic gaps in Hong Kong's patient care infrastructure.

    • Identified key unmet needs including caregiver burnout, limited early intervention, and the link between social isolation and disease progression.

    • Designed and prototyped an app with a chatbot, to directly address these challenges and improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive decline.

    • Translated complex medical research for public understanding while presenting my research in a public mall, honing the crucial skill of communicating complex science accessibly to diverse audiences.
