My passion for biology stems from a deep curiosity about how biological processes influence cognition, health, and human development. Through conducting research on the relationship between music education and adolescent cognitive function, I explored how attention, memory, and executive function are shaped by underlying biological mechanisms, strengthening my interest in experimental inquiry and evidence-based analysis.

 

I am particularly drawn to human biology and neuroscience, an interest further developed through laboratory workshops, biomedical lectures, and hands-on scientific training in competitive university programmes. Complemented by clinical and health-focused experiences, these opportunities have reinforced my desire to study biology as a foundation for understanding complex living systems and their real-world applications.

    • Designed a technology-driven solution, including a chatbot app, to enhance the quality of life, independence, and support for Alzheimer’s Disease patients and their caregivers.

    • Researched Biological Mechanisms of Alzheimer’s Disease and Identified Systemic Gaps in Hong Kong’s Patient Care Infrastructure. Applied concepts of neuroscience, healthcare policy, and digital innovation for unmet needs in patient care.

    • Selected as the sole representative from Hong Kong for the International Health Leaders Program, earning 2nd Runner-Up. 

    • Analyzed the relationship between musical training and attention, memory, and executive function, producing evidence-based insights with implications for adolescent learning strategies.

    • Observed patient consultations, perioperative care, preventive medicine, and women’s health management.

    • Completed a virtual medical work experience program exploring the roles, responsibilities, and skill sets of six medical specialties, with analysis of clinical challenges and broader issues in healthcare.

    • Completed first aid training led by MBBS Distinguished MedScholars. 

    • Emergency response skills: choking management, CPR, and AED operation.

    • Selected for a competitive summer program. Attended faculty-led lectures on clinical medicine and biomedical science.

    • Participated in hands-on workshops and lab activities, practicing basic diagnostic techniques and patient assessment.

    • Formulated a strategic market-entry plan to secure EU contracts by leveraging their strict sustainability standards as a competitive advantage.

    • Solidified a passion for global business through analyzing international trade dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and the strategic puzzle of interconnected global operations.
